Terms of service
Last updated: August 2026
These are the terms for using Tailor. They’re written plainly on purpose to remove the legal block. By buying a license or creating an account you agree to them.
Using Tailor
Tailor is a web application for designing QR codes. You don’t need an account to use the demo version. It’s free, but does not allow you to use your own link or text. You do need a license and account to use the full version.
License
A license is a one-time purchase that gives you access to the full version of Tailor. It’s for one person or one team, depending on the license. You can use it for your own work and commercial client projects.
Payments go through Stripe. We don’t offer refunds, unless the law says we have to. If you’re buying as a consumer, your legal rights still apply.
Your account
You create an account when you first sign in with an email address. An account is for one person. One email address can have only one account and can belong to only one team. You can’t change your account’s email address.
Teams
A Studio team can have up to five user accounts. The email used to buy the license is the owner and first account of the team, and they may invite other people.
An account can’t leave the team. The owner can deactivate them, removing their access right away. Designs created in the team stay with the team. The owner can transfer ownership of the team to another member anytime.
If you need more accounts in a team, contact at [email address].
Your content
QR codes you create in Tailor belong to you. QR codes aren’t tied to our app and last even after you stop using it.
We give you a scannability score for every QR code created, but it’s up to you to check that it works in your situation. We can’t promise that a QR code will scan in every environment or with every device.
Fair use
Use Tailor the way it’s meant to be used. Don’t try to break it, reverse engineer it, abuse the APIs, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account or team that does.
Availability
We work to keep Tailor useful and online, but we can’t promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of bugs. The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for any loss that comes from using it.
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. Anything significant gets noted with an updated date at the top of this page.
